There are plenty of dog boarding facilities to choose from in Kelowna, and selecting the right one can sometimes be challenging. Your dog is a member of your family and we know you may be evaluating each dog boarding facility with a long list of important criteria. We encourage you to ask the right questions of each dog boarder, such as how long they’ve been in business, whether staff or owners live on site, and if they’re qualified to administer pet medications as needed. Getting good answers to your many important questions will help you select the best dog boarding service in Kelowna.

A good idea is to always visit with the many Kelowna dog boarders in-person, so that you can judge the quality of the facility for yourself. You should be on the lookout for cleanliness – both look and smell, good visibility, and spacious and secure play areas. Knowing about the staff on hand will be equally important in making a decision about the boarding facility itself. Ask questions and get an understanding about the type of experience and training their staff members have. Ask if there is a set schedule and routine for each day. You’ll want more from a dog kennel than just having your beloved family pet locked down 24-hours a day.

Dog Boarding Activities
Your dog will enjoy a wide array of activities within a spacious and secure indoor/outdoor living space. On a typical day, your dog will spend plenty of time in either our outdoor exercise areas, or our indoor play area where they are encouraged to socialize with their canine pals. Your dog’s time spent outdoors is largely determined by seasonal weather conditions. We don’t want to see our special guests getting too hot or cold, as your dog’s safety, health and well being is always our top priority.

A Typical Day:
6:30am – Everyone is woken up, let out to play and to go to the bathroom.
7:00am – Everyone is let back into their dog kennels for breakfast.
8:00am – 8:30am – Everyone is let out for after breakfast playtime.
9:00am – 12:00pm – All of our canine guests enjoy a great day of playing outside, with brief periods of relaxation indoors. Smaller dogs make use of a 400-SQF indoor playroom, as well as the outdoor area, so smaller dogs spend time in and out, depending on who is in for the day and the weather conditions.
12:00pm – Every dog takes a break and has some quiet nap time.
1:00pm – 1:30pm – Everyone wakes up from nap time and start a fun filled afternoon of playing outside, with brief periods of relaxation indoors. Again, the smaller dogs make use of a 400-SQF indoor playroom, as mentioned above.
4:00pm – 4:30pm – It’s suppertime in the kennel suites.
5:30pm – Checkout time for all dog daycare/boarding guests. If you would like to check-out after 5:30pm then please give us a call and we will see if we can accommodate you.
5:30pm – 6:15pm – All of our guests enjoy more playing outside, with brief periods of relaxation indoors.
6:30pm – 7:00pm – It’s sleep time at the kennels.
All of our guest dogs are manually led in and out of the kennels by staff, which further supports our policy and standards in giving all guests constant human affection and attention throughout the day. Our consistent contact with your dog will ensure they’ll enjoy every minute of their stay with us. We like to make sure our guests stay in their dog kennels for about an hour after all meals to ensure they properly digest their food. This practice greatly reduces the risk of upset stomachs that can be caused by overexertion from playtime too soon after a meal.
