The owners of Woofy World Kennels & Daycare, Hayley & Marcel, reside on their property of their kennel/doggie daycare business, which they opened in 2006. Hayley & Marcel both have a lot of experience handling dogs and other animals. They both grew up surrounded by the love of many animals ranging from dogs to horses. Having grown up surrounded by the joy that pets bring, it was easy to see their over-whelming love of animals developed from a young age. Customers can clearly see the bonds that develop between their dog(s) and everyone at Woofy World Kennels & Daycare. Our check-ins are often so excited when they arrive that they nearly pull their owners over to get inside and play!
Meet The Woofy World Team:
Hayley is a Certified Canine Specialist through PIJAC (Pet Industry Joint Advisory Council) of Canada. She is also a Certified Professional Groomer. She completed her Pet First Aid training through St. John Ambulance. Hayley previously owned a grooming business and is still offering some grooming services at the kennels.
Hayley has a calming energy around the dogs and is great at handling dogs with special needs. She feels incredibly lucky to be able to express her passion for animals through her work here at Woofy World Kennels & Daycare.
Marcel has many years of hands on experience with dogs. He is at ease at handling a wide variety of dogs with very different personalities, as he has a great understanding of how dogs think and interact. His youth was spent on a farm in northern Alberta, where he grew up surrounded by all kinds of pets and livestock.
Marcel has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Programming. He is also a true handyman with a lot of experience in construction which provides a huge asset to maintaining our high standards of excellence throughout the kennels.
Adam has a great deal of experience working with dogs and many other animals. He previously worked at a kennel in the lower mainland before moving to the beautiful Okanagan Valley.
Adam has his “Walks n’ Wags” Pet 1st Aid Certification which he attained in Kelowna, B.C.
Adam also spent many years working for the Surrey SPCA where he helped out in many areas including late night rescues. He has a very calm energy with the dogs and easily reads their “dog language”.
Taylor (Pack Leader)
Taylor is a very calm and compassionate person which is shown through his energy with the dogs.
Alex (Pack Leader)
Alex is a true animal lover with a bubbly, lovable personality. Her mother started a kennel and grooming business in Quesnel before Alex was born, so Alex has had the pleasure of being involved with the business since birth. At her mother’s kennel, Alex was accustomed at handling over sixty-five dogs in house, plus thirty-five sled dogs.
Alex ran sled dogs (Alaskan Huskies) herself, plus she also skijored (which is where you have skis on and hook the dogs directly to you). She participated in The Mail Run in Barkerville and multiple races in Ft. St. James.
She is a confident pack leader and the dogs adore her.
